jess jumped

last week jess and i went to the delaware water gap to find waterfalls to swim with. we found a couple tiny ones, one of which dumped into a tiny but deep reservoir which this guy was coaxing his daughter and her friend into jumping. he lead through example and not only jumped from the ledge where they were terrified but also from the one above them, jumping over their heads and into the small pool. i kept expecting him to smash his skull against a rock on his way down and never resurface. but he made it each time and after about a half hour of yelling at the girls they each jumped and survived. then some kids came and they all jumped except for the girls they were with, they were chicken losers, the kind that lose their chickens all the time. i felt bad for the guys for having chicken loser girlfriends because i sure didnt! jess climbed up on that ledge and screamed "what are ya!? chickens!? bawk bawk bawk bawk!" and leaped without a moment to spare! and this here chicken loser wimpo caught it on video. we finished off our swimming at another little pool of water near a different waterfall Image hosted by Photobucket.com where jess had lost her hair pin when she jumped in. she decided to try to find it, an impossible task judging from the size of the pond, but not two seconds after telling me she was going to look for it, she finds it! WTF!? well we plan on going back again next week early in the morning to hike up the mountain to get to the huge lake on top with all the waterfalls and unicorns and pots o' gold we know are there.
i started reading jerry stahl's permanent midnight, its pretty interesting so far, though it seems like he skips over his cafe flesh days which i was excited to learn about. recently bought animal collective's sung tongs, ariel pink's haunted graffiti worn copy, edan's beauty and the beat, and caribou's milk of human kindness. ive been eyeing the miles davis bitches brew box, but we just got in the orange juice and quas reissues, plus i learned that i can order two bruce haack cds, so it looks like itll be a while till i pick it up.

sung tongs is pretty great, like world music sung by crazy white college kids, jess says its like the whole animal kingdom in heat for each other. if youd like i can send you a cd full of mp3s of their albums along with the florida pictures which i planned on doing already... maybe i can find a few things else to put on the cd, if you have any suggestions, come with.
